My wife accidentally left some money in the car. It was stolen during the service and the two manager at the desk refused to give me the owners number to resolve my insurance claim. Shady.

Wasted my time and money. After being referred by a colleague, I was advised that should I have any car issues take it to Bosch, they thoroughly check your car and give a detailed report. So before I explain my disgust about the center, let me just give you context. My car is mechanically excellent with no issues, recently replaced the brake pads and tyres (3 months ago) which I did not disclose to these so called "Professionals" intentionally to see their level of competence. So earlier this week I started noticing a sound coming from the front that sounds like a once-off knock sound everytime when I apply the brakes, so I decided to go get it checked out. I was promised a call during the cause of the morning but only got it midday which I did not think much off until now. What I was told left me on the floor... I was told that I needed to change the left and right shock absorbers, shock mountings, all the brake pads and front brake disks, skim the brake drums, replace linings which will require 6 hours of labour. The reason I laughed my a$$ off is because my car is less than 5 years old, has 60 000km on the clock, never missed a service, never driven on gravel, never driven over 200km at a ago, basically what I'm saying is I hardly use the car, I only drive it to and from work, that's it! How can all these things be worn out even after recently replacing the brake pads as advised by the car manufacturer. Clearly these guys have no clue what the issue is and are just hoping that the issue is on the parts they listed. Oh ya, the quote came to R17k, 10% of a brand new car
