Loved the decor in the place :) The food was nice, we had the Nachos with mince and a Ziva. The portions are large and can easily be shared between two people. Great spot for a quick lunch or meeting place.
My partner had the bobotie spring rolls which comes with mango chutney and banana yoghurt, and I had the flapjacks with blueberry preserve, Mascarpone cheese and bacon. Looking at the menu, I thought the food was a bit expensive, but after receiving and enjoying our meals, I can honestly say it was worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The food was actually excellent, and I really can't complain about the service (the staff was very friendly and helpful) nor the wait (perfectly reasonable). I am very excited to eat here again.
Besides being one of the best places to have a very tasty, filling and affordable breakfast / brunch, I am grateful for the friendliness of the staff in general and have a special reason to say thank you to Dries, the Manager/Owner. I just had the a second eye operation in two weeks, and so I could not see very well at all. I decided to have breakfast at Foood so that I wouldn't have to worry whilst at home. I had intended catching an Uber home, then realised that I had left my phone in the car with my son, who was now at work. I asked the waitron if they asked someone to call me an Uber Cash. Dries came forward to assist but the cash function wouldn't work. No worries! Dries called the Uber anyway and made sure that I got in safely, whilst refusing to accept cash from me. Thank you so much Foood, the waitron and Dries for your kindness, excellent service and delicious food.
